EFL CUP : Chelsea vs Arsenal

Chelsea has no injuries or suspension issues for this match, though will look to rotate and freshen up his side.

After last week in the Premier league derby with Arsenal, we expect Conte to go with Eden Hazard up front again. The Belgian was again at the center of controversy, winning a penalty in the match, but he has seriously turned up his form yet again this term and will be one to watch in this match.

Arsene Wenger paid the price for rotation as they defeat to Nottingham Forest. So expect his regulars to come back in here. That won't include center midfielder Santi Cazorla, defender Nacho Monreal, left back Sead Kolasinac and Olivier Giroud. Each are out with injuries. Wenger will again be serving his own touch line ban for this match for criticizing officials.

Jack Wilshere will be massive for them in the middle in this match, especially when you consider that he must be careful not to give the ball up due to a poor defence behind him.

Chelsea will be very frustrated due to the fact that they now have an extra fixture to play in the FA Cup due to the replay. But make no mistake about it, they will not want to go easy and allow their London rivals to go through. To get here, Chelsea have played all three rounds at home. They defeated Nottingham Forest 5-1, then defeated Everton 2-1, and finally beat Bournemouth 2-1 to book this semi-final spot. Arsenal have also played all three rounds at home. They defeated Doncaster, Norwich and West Ham.

At home, Chelsea have lost just twice and drawn three times in 17 matches.

With Manchester City so far clear in the league, there is a real push for these two teams in this competition because for this trophy neither team cannot afford to fall behind. But Chelsea playing at home ground hold a narrow advantage.
